Botanical Name: Matricaria recutita L

Synonyms: Blue Chamomile, Hungarian Chamomile, Sweet False Chamomile, Matricaria chamomilla, chamomilla recutita - Frequent changes to the interpretation of the of the scientific name of German Chamomile has led to confusion over recent decades.

chamazulene @ 23%

x-Bisabolol oxide B @ 4.5%

 

Precautions / Contraindications:  

Non Toxic

Non irritating

Non sensitizing

Most gentle of all oils, can be beneficial to children

Prone to oxidation – avoid old or oxidized oils

Avoid if allergic to Asteraceae plants or Chamomile

No contraindications known

Caution:  Drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 (Appendix B)

Oil & Aromatic Description: The oil is a deep, inky blue (think squid link) somewhat thick liquid.  Its aroma is intently rich, sweet, somewhat herbaceous with a fresh, fruity undertone.  The pure, undiluted oil can be quite powerful, overwhelming and unpleasant to some.
