Peppermint, Organic

Botanical Name: Mentha x piperita L.
Synonyms: Mitcham Mint, Mint
Family: Lamiaceae (Labiate)

Common Uses:

Peppermint essential oil is known for its invigorating, cooling, and clarifying properties. It promotes mental alertness, self-confidence, and motivation while also supporting digestion, respiratory health, and muscle recovery. It is often used to soothe headaches, boost focus, and provide an energizing lift.

Blends well with:

  • Indigestion & Digestive Support: Aniseed, Caraway, Ginger, Sweet Orange, Spearmint
  • Nausea Relief: Ginger
  • Sinus & Bronchial Congestion: Eucalyptus, Fir, Peppermint Eucalyptus, Pine, Spruce
  • Muscle Aches & Pains / Arthritis: Black Pepper, Ginger, Spike Lavender, Rosemary, Wintergreen
  • Mental Fatigue: Basil, Black Pepper, Ginger, Lemon, Pine, Rosemary

Precautions / Contraindications:

  • Avoid during pregnancy and nursing.
  • Do not use on children under 6 years old.
  • Avoid if you have cardiac conditions, gallbladder conditions, or G6PD deficiency.
  • Caution for those with GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease).
  • May cause breathing difficulties due to menthol content.
  • Avoid near the face or mucous membranes—may cause irritation.
  • May be sensitizing to skin.
  • Non-toxic, non-irritating (in proper dilution).
  • GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe).

As with all essential oils, taking internally, ingesting, or adding to food/beverages is not recommended and can cause harm.

Keep all essential oils out of the reach of children, lids secured in a cool, dark location.
