Pink Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) — Organic
Botanical Name: Citrus paradisi Macfady.
Synonyms: Citrus racemosa, Citrus decumana var. racemosa, Citrus maxima var. racemosa, shaddock fruit
Family: Rutaceae
Common Uses:
Pink Grapefruit essential oil is loved for its bright, sweet citrus aroma that refreshes the mind and uplifts the spirit. Cold-expressed from the fresh peels of organically grown fruit, this oil is a gentle yet powerful ally for clearing mental fog, easing feelings of heaviness, and awakening optimism — especially through long, grey seasons. Its reviving nature helps shift frustration, stress, or nervous exhaustion, encouraging clear thoughts and a more joyful outlook.
It’s also cherished in skincare for oily or acne-prone complexions and as a tonic for the scalp. Many find it supportive for promoting healthy lymphatic flow and encouraging a sense of lightness when feeling weighed down.
Blends well with:
Nervous System & Mood: Bergamot, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Neroli, Sweet Orange, Sandalwood
Fatigue & Apathy: Basil, Black Pepper, Cardamom, Ginger, Lemon, Lime, Sweet Orange, Rosemary
Precautions / Contraindications:
Pink Grapefruit is phototoxic — avoid applying to skin before sun or UV exposure; it may cause burns or blisters. Generally non-toxic, non-irritating, and non-sensitizing, but best used fresh, as citrus oils deteriorate quickly. Never ingest essential oils.
Keep all oils out of the reach of children, lids secured in a cool, dark place.
